— Why Sirene

What a considered design process gives you

Documentation you can hand over

Drawings and schedules prepared to a standard that a cabinet maker and contractor can read without guessing. Fewer site questions, fewer costly changes mid-build.

A brief that fits how you live

The first session goes into how the kitchen is actually used — not just dimensions. That detail shapes every subsequent decision, from layout to material selection.

Materials chosen for daily use

Recommendations take into account durability, care requirements, and how finishes age in a Malaysian climate — not just how they look in a showroom.

Site oversight when it matters

Visits at key stages of installation mean problems are caught before they become expensive to fix. The final walk-through happens with the cabinet maker present.

Written responses, not verbal promises

Questions that arise during the process are responded to in writing. The record stays clear for you, for the cabinet maker, and for any contractor involved.

Pricing stated upfront

Each service has a fixed fee. You know what the engagement costs before it starts, and what is included within that scope. No ambiguity around additional charges mid-project.

Common questions

Do I need to use all three services, or can I pick just one?

Each service stands on its own. Some clients come for the brief session only, then carry that forward themselves. Others come for documentation after they've already formed a view of the layout. You choose the point of entry that fits what you actually need.

What does the brief and workflow conversation involve?

It's a structured conversation — usually around ninety minutes — covering how the kitchen is used day to day, who cooks, storage priorities, and how the room connects to the rest of the home. At the end of the session you receive a written brief, a draft layout, and a note on materials direction. It's a working output, not a mood board.

How long does the documentation package take?

Typically three to five weeks from the first meeting, depending on how quickly feedback is turned around and whether the layout requires significant iteration. The two structured revision rounds are built into that timeline.

Does Sirene recommend specific contractors or cabinet makers?

Within the sourcing and oversight service, shortlists of suppliers are part of the work. For the brief and documentation services, recommendations can be provided separately if asked, but referrals are based on what suits the scope and budget rather than commercial arrangements.

Is the studio based in Petaling Jaya only, or do you work across Klang Valley?

The studio is in Damansara Utama. For brief and documentation work, meetings can take place at the site or by appointment at the studio. Site visit services are available across Klang Valley — travel conditions apply for projects further afield.

Are the service fees fixed, or do they vary by project size?

The fees shown — RM 460 for the brief session, RM 2,750 for documentation, and RM 1,820 for sourcing and oversight — are fixed. For kitchens of unusually large scope or unusual site conditions, a revised fee structure would be discussed and agreed before work begins.
